Photostory and Podcast

Two ways that photostory can be used in the classroom are for student presentations and to present information to the students. A teacher can use the photostory program to help students present papers or assignments to the class. Using a program like photostory can help a student that doesn't like to speak in public more comfortable if they aren't having to speak directly to the class in person. Also a teacher can use it to present new information to the students. This would benefit visual learners to watch a video of the information.

Two Ways that podcasts can be used for the classroom are to communicate with parents and with students. A teacher can use podcasts to put daily activities on a website for parents and students to view. This way parents know what is going on in the classroom on a day to day basis. Also, if a student is ever absent, they can easily catch up on whatever they have missed that day.

A Vision of Students Today

Auburn Football Project

I am hoping that the football project will turn out well. I don't mind group projects, but i don't prefer them either. I like to work on my own because i do not have to worry about anyone else's participation but my own. I'm not sure how serious my group members are about the project, but that is only because I haven't had the time to work with them yet. I personally do not know a lot about football in general and to be assigned a webpage creation of football knowledge is a little overwhelming. I am confident that we will complete the assignment by the end of the semester, it is merely not knowing how it will turn out that is really bothering me. Once we get going I think it will be fine. I just hope that the work is distributed evenly and that everyone pulls their own weight because i will definitely pull mine.

I feel a little uneasy when i think about this class because i don't know what to expect. I wouldn't say that i'm a wiz with technology, but i know enough to get what i need done. I hope that at the end of the semester i will be able to retain the information i've learned so that i can successfully apply it toward my future studies and lessons for when i begin teaching. The most overwhelming thing about the class is just that its a large chunk of time all at once and it is apart of a busy day for me. The class itself i feel is not very demanding of extra work so i know that i can complete the assignments without taking a lot of time out of my day.
